ORRA
PERMANENT JEWELLERY UK
Mayfair Studio, London
1. Permanent Welding Process
Permanent jewellery refers to a custom-fit chain (in 14K Gold or Sterling Silver) that is measured specifically to your anatomy and welded closed on your body using a high-precision micro-welder. Because the chain does not contain a clasp, it is designed for continuous, long-term wear.
The welding process involves a quick, safe spark of heat at the connection point. A protective leather patch or shield is placed between your skin and the chain during welding. There is zero risk of skin contact, pain, or electrical currents passing through your body.
2. Medical Declarations & Removal
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) & Surgeries: Permanent jewellery must be removed prior to undergoing MRI scans or certain medical surgeries. You may remove the chain yourself by cutting the single welded ring with regular household scissors.
Pacemakers & Electronic Devices: The welding process uses localized heat. If you have an active pacemaker or implanted medical device, please inform your specialist prior to the weld. Although the spark is localized, standard precautions are implemented.
Caution: Never attempt to forcibly pull or break the chain off your body. This can cause injury to your skin, tarnish or damage the structural integrity of the solid gold chain, or snap the chain at a non-welded point.
3. Age Restrictions
We weld permanent jewellery for individuals aged 12 and older. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who must co-sign this consent waiver.
4. Atelier Policies & Liability Release
